BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia along with another leader offers prayers at the party founder’s grave in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area of Capital today.
Secretary General of this party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said his party is ready for movement to revive democracy.
He allege, the government violating rights of the people, the BNP leader said, “It (government) is currently steamrolling his party and conspiring to destroy BNP.”
Fakhrul was talking to journalists after BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia along with her party leaders and activists placed wreaths at BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area around 11:15am marking the party’s 38th founding anniversary. She also offered prayers at the grave of Zia, also her husband.
In a statement issued yesterday on the occasion of the anniversary, Khaleda said the law and order situation in the country was “at its worst”. “So, our movement is to establish people's right and dignity,” she said.
