Sri Lanka follows the exclusion of SAARC

Today in Islamabad, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, citing environmental reasons that "not conductive" is the 19th SAARC Summit boycott Bangladesh, India, Bhutan and Afghanistan joined.

The country's foreign ministry said in a statement: "Sri Lanka regrets that the prevailing conditions in the 9th and the 19th SAARC Summit held in Islamabad on 10 November 2016 for not helpful"

"Peace and security in South Asia, meaningful regional cooperation for the welfare of the people are essential elements for success. Founding member of SAARC, Sri Lanka was committed to regional cooperation, peace and security in our region hope that the necessary measures to ensure the creation of an environment that is conducive to the pursuit of regional cooperation will be taken, "the statement said.

Sri Lanka in all its forms and manifestations, and condemns terrorism in a decisive manner the pressure needed to deal with the problem of terrorism in the region, the statement added.
